Is ēkotrace blockchain?
No. Every event is SHA-256 hash-chained, so any retrospective edit breaks the chain and is detectable. There is no token, no mining and no distributed ledger to join. It is cryptographic integrity without the overhead.
Do we change our systems?
No. ēkotrace sits alongside what you already run and captures events at the gate.
Who owns the data?
You do. We process it to produce your records and reporting. Our sub-processors and data flows are published in the ēkotrace Trust Centre.
Can a third party check a record?
Yes. Any record can be recomputed from the original data through the public verifier, without an account.
