Cheril is the driving force behind ēkot, driven by a passion for fashion and a commitment to sustainable textile practices. With an MBA and a recognised credential in the circular economy, she combines strategic insight with a focus on sustainability. Cheril's passion for teaching Business Ethics and Sustainability at the university level, nurturing future leaders to practice responsibly. She has also provided pro bono consulting to the New Zealand Red Cross to improve its waste management. She has collaborated with Tearfund New Zealand on youth donor engagement programs tackling modern slavery. With over 20 years of international trade experience in Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia-Pacific, Cheril expertly aligns commercial strategies with social and environmental goals, creating impactful, scalable circular solutions for ēkot.
